At the beginning of the film, we witness a youngster named Will who introduces himself. I studied because I had always wanted to learn about American history. For the time being, I’ve left it, and I’ll now know all about America. For the time being, I’m off to a village where there is a thriving buffalo leather business. There is a large demand for this product, and I am also quite interested. I’d also like to hear about it. The year is 1874, and Will arrives at the little community known as Butcher’s Crossing, which also serves as the title of the film. Will has now arrived and has taken his own room. Then he encountered the greatest trader in buffalo skin. He used to sell skin to people on the market. He now introduces himself to the dealer, stating, “My name is Will, and I am the son of your friend.” You and my father were close friends a few years ago. Saying thus, he hands up his father’s house to the dealer. Then the dealer was overjoyed to meet him. He informs him that I have come here to better understand the Americans. I want to get to know them. The dealer confirms that your father was a very good friend of mine. But, son, there is now a demonstration going on here. The situation is awful in the evening. So I can’t even keep your job right now. Will responds, “No, you are misunderstanding.” I do not desire a job. In fact, I’d like to know how you hunt buffaloes. What occurs during the full process? The trader was surprised when he heard this. He adds, “Whatever you’re thinking, son, this job isn’t easy.” In the future, you must witness all of life’s events. And this meaningless item is not among those items. Will adds, “No, uncle; this is my hobby.” I have to see this stuff at any costs. Saying this, he exits. He now came to a bar from there. Where a very large hunter called Miller was seated. Will approaches him and says, “You look like a very big and dangerous buffalo hunter.” Sir, I’d also want to go hunting with you. I understand things quickly. Miller, seeing that Will has come here to witness what is going on, now forces Will to sit beside him. When the bar owner serves him drinks, he informs Miller that I had also spoken with the dealer about this. But he obviously refused. Miller responds, “Yes, yes, it is like that.” Actually, you’re elderly now, so Will wonders where you’re going to hunt this time. Miller said that after a week’s voyage, a hilly area will appear. We’ll go there this time to hunt. Because there are thousands of wild buffalos there. But for this expedition, we’ll need a lot of weaponry and supplies. Will wonders how much will be spent on all of this. Miller estimates that it will cost up to 600 dollars. But don’t worry, when we go back, we’ll have thousands of bucks. Will explains that the reason he came here today is because of his desire. Passion has no worth. Money means nothing to me in our endeavor. So I’m ready for it. Miller then collaborates with him to resolve this matter. People are now meeting again to drink alcohol. At night, Will returned to the tavern. Where folks were content to dance and sing. Will was told by the tavern owner that I really like you. He felt odd. He leaves from here. When Miller returns to the pub the next day, he introduces Will to his two buddies. He nods to one side and adds, “This is my companion, Skinner.” After hunting the buffaloes, he works on removing the skin from their bodies. The second companion is a cook who will help us prepare meals for our voyage. Skinner informs Miller that the hilly location where you are going to hunt is extremely tough to access. And it is fraught with hazards. Because the road is really lengthy. Storms, robbery, and devastation pose several threats. Miller feels that going there will be really good for us. Because there are endless thousands. Skinner responds, “Okay, fine, but I don’t care about this.” I’ll accept $60 for my effort. Apart from this, how much profit do you make? I don’t want a piece of it. On this, Will and Miller both agree. In the afternoon of the same day, Skinner and Miller went hunting. The four people were heading forward, carrying their stuff. Miller knew the road, therefore he was pushing forward. They stop along the road to hunt. The cook then prepares the meal for them. And these folks, who were tired of traveling, eat to satisfy their appetite. The next day, as they resumed their trek, Skinner sensed Miller was beginning to lose his path. Nonetheless, they continue to pursue him. And their journey lasts several days. Where these folks will eventually reach a residence. When they enter, they discover a dead corpse in the residence. Everyone becomes terrified as they witness this. While these folks were in the desert, a woman arrived on a horse carriage. She seeks for assistance from these individuals. But Miller urges her to go. Will explains that he believes this poor woman is powerless. We should aid her. Miller declined. When the woman notices this, she takes out her revolver. Then Miller hands the rifle and adds, “Go away quietly.” Otherwise, I will shoot and kill you. So the woman needs to go from there. Skinner asks Will why we didn’t assist her. He had to mention that after killing victims, these ladies stole their possessions. And Miller began gazing about. He appeared unsure where to go. Which Skinner had also seen. So he needs to say, “Miller, I know you’ve forgotten the way.” And now I’m not sure where you’ll lead us. Miller claims there is no such thing. I am completely aware of this location. And see, I’ll get you to the appropriate location. Skinner says, but there’s an issue. We have run out of water. If we do not have access to water on our travel, we may encounter significant difficulties. People are now starting to go forward again. Miller was attempting to figure out the route. So these folks were in a horrible situation due to thirst. Will has the worse condition. He was feeling really weak. Will’s health worsens as his horse passes across the river, and he falls into the pond. Meanwhile, he begins to ponder about Bansu and the owner of the bar. Miller notices this and rushes up to him. He says, “Be brave.” Take care of yourself. Stay with us. If you are removed from us, you will get lost here. And now that they had gotten the water from this pond, she was really glad. She moved forward after satisfying her thirst. And now these folks had practically arrived at the mountain location. And because this site was steep and low, they had to work hard to get their automobiles and bags up. After that, they arrive directly in front of the mountain location where they were to go. Miller believes that this location is very appropriate. We reside here. She was overjoyed to have arrived at her destination. Bansu was observed among thousands of people. However, because she was exhausted, she decided that we would relax today. We shall go hunting tomorrow. But Miller advises them that after a little rest, they should make their own preparations. Skinner asks Will, “How do you feel coming here?” The villain smiles and says that everything is going well. I’m feeling great. And I think it will be a lot of fun to search here. Then he asks Miller, “Why do you like hunting?” However, there is no assurance of making money from it. There may also be a loss. Still, you do this labor. Why? However, Miller is not yet responding to his query. The next day, Miller began preparing his ammunition to hunt Bansu. He was loading them with lethal gunpowder and poison. When Will saw this, he approached him. He begins to look into everything with great curiosity. Miller warns him that hunting Bansu is extremely tough. It requires a lot of work. This is the first effort you’ve seen. Filling the bullets with poison requires a significant amount of effort. The hunting grounds are also quite dangerous. This is something I really adore. This is why I chase Bansu. Because this is a game to me. And I enjoy playing with hazards. Now, when he arrived at a location, there were thousands of Bansu present. Miller hits a buffalo with his target. The bullet hit him again, but he continued to flee. Will responds, “Oh, you missed your target.” Miller then responds with great conviction, “Son, I never miss a target.” There is no doubt that Miller’s objective was missed. And now, when Will sees it, he falls asleep as a result of the poison. Miller then targets and hunts several additional buffaloes. As soon as he sees them, a large number of buffalo carcasses are dumped there. Will is also quite pleased to see this. That is why he is preparing a rifle for himself. And now they are killing a lot of buffaloes together. This allows them to have a lot of fun. When Skinner arrived at the pile of bodies and began removing everyone’s skin, he was also teaching Will this. Many days went like this, with these individuals taking the mtake of the Bansu and collecting the skins with them. Will notices that when Cook cooks for Skinner, he throws something into it. He’d done this several times before. Which felt unusual to Will, but he disregarded it. When the two persons were sitting together at night, Will said Miller, “I think we should get out of here now.” Miller plainly refused. Says, “The hunt has just begun, boys.” There is a long way to go still. Skinner’s health deteriorated as soon as he ate. He was experiencing terrible abdominal ache. The next day, Will hunts his first victim by himself. But he was in anguish because blood was coming out of his mouth. Following that, he and Miller kill a large number of buffalo. Skinner also removes their skin. Then he tells Miller that we’ve also hunted a number of buffalo and took their hides. And now we should leave. Miller became enraged upon hearing this. He says I’ll determine when we go from here. If you don’t go before I hunt, I’ll murder you. Miller kills a lot of buffaloes and collects their skins. So they stayed here for a couple more days. Miller used to hunt up to a hundred buffaloes every day here. Skinner’s health deteriorated from this point forward. He had terrible abdominal ache. And this was due to the ingredients the cook employed in his cuisine. And now Will’s health has deteriorated. On the contrary, he began to miss the individuals he used to see, including Miller and the owner of the pub. So he used to see his sister, who was being hunted. And now he’s been here three weeks. At night, Skinner claims that we have only been here for three weeks. We have only one week to remain here and hunt. When Miller hears this, he becomes quite enraged. He yells. Skinner’s comments are brief. Okay? We need to depart from here. Otherwise, we won’t be able to get to our village in three weeks. Now Miller claims that nothing of the kind will occur. Okay? Avoid overthinking. And we’re not even going from here. Because I know when winter begins. On which Skinner becomes enraged. He says, Miller, you’ve gone insane. You want to hunt every buffalo here. This is impossible. Miller becomes enraged upon witnessing this. He closes his mouth, murders him, and throws him down. Then he tells to Will that Skinner is correct. We should escape from here. Miller responds, “I have come to hunt here.” And until it is completed, I, you, or anybody else cannot leave here. The following day, Miller’s hunt resumed. Many dead bodies were found on the ground in various areas. Miller says I’m going to hunt a bit further ahead of here. Because there must be around 200 buffalo. After saying this, he went on. There were actually a lot of buffalos. Will, on the other hand, was concerned about his insane behavior. He claims that the buffalo hunt has driven you insane. But Miller began firing at the buffaloes from a distance. He began fleeing the scene, terrified. Then Miller began following him. However, the buffaloes, who were exceedingly swift, ran away. This makes Miller very upset. He tosses everything at his buddies. That’s when snow dropped from the sky into Will’s palm. That is, winter had begun. When he saw it, there was a snowfall. That is why these folks start packing their belongings. Will was unable to tolerate it at first since it was really chilly. Will’s health began to deteriorate, so Miller placed him under the buffalo hide. After a long time, the storm has stopped, and these individuals have begun to prepare to escape. Miller argues we shouldn’t perish from the cold. So, we need fire here. That is why these folks are now setting fires there as quickly as possible. Miller responds, “I told you that we should leave.” Look, winter has arrived. Now we’re stuck here. Will argues that we may still depart from here. Because we can’t transfer our belongings through the snow. And now we must wait for the winter to end. Before that, there is no chance of our leaving here. would replies that we would go gently and attempt to depart from here. Miller reiterates that this is likewise impossible since a storm will occur as soon as we go forward. So we have to remain there. And the worst state will be yours. That’s why we now have no choice but to wait. And now that many days have gone, Miller continues to hunt. He kills the buffalo and brings them to him. Skinner’s stomach hurts like it always does after drinking Coca-Cola. But more than before. The next day, when Will arrived at same location, he noticed a buffalo standing in front of him, which was no longer there. Because there was no buffalo present. This was only his fantasy. Because his voyage was bothering him so greatly, he was wondering when the winter would end. Skinner became enraged upon hearing this since his stomach was in poor shape. And now, one day, Skinner receives the medicine that Cook used to put into his meal, and his stomach begins to pain after taking it. Skinner delivers the medication to Cook and shows him. He adds, “Oh, you used to mix this in my food, which is why I was thinking that by taking your food, I was only feeling the pain,” and then he dies. Miller and Will came here after they saw this. Skinner told them everything. He claims he did all of this in an attempt to murder me by putting that drug in my food. Miller says we now have to bury him. The following morning, they bury Cook. Being sorrowful, they begin to miss him. The winter is ended, and the new season begins. As the years passed, they began to move ahead in the mountains. Miller promises that this time we will travel to Butters Crossing and get wealthy. We will make a lot of profit. And now they were going to cross a ravine. They were in serious difficulties due to their height. The horse then becomes dislodged from their automobile, causing Skinner and the car to plummet down the ravine. In this accident, Skinner dies. Seeing this made Will feel awful, and the next day he embarked on his adventure to learn more about America. He came with a mission. According to estimates, there were around 60 lakh buffaloes in America. But humans hunted them so fiercely that just 300 buffaloes remained. This suggests a large number of buffaloes were hunted. This concludes the tale of the film.
